Chest (Master Class)

I’ve been very busy lately (as always) but I think it’s time to make a post.

This is my final modelling class with my students, I decided to make a Master Class called “Creating assets for video-games”, I started out  by blocking the figure to a nice volume/space for Unity 3D, later on I sculpted the main parts of the chest in Zbrush such as the wooden planks or the skull and finally baking the high-poly version to the low-poly model I made in 3DsMax. Final textures made in Photoshop (1024×1024), rendered in Mental Ray and turntable in Marmoset Toolbag.

Minion!!

It’s been a while since my last animation work but I thought this is the best character to return to the great world of 3D animation, It was really funny to model a Minion from “Despicable me” but it’s going to be awesome to move it!

Modelled in 3DsMax (low poly model around 2000 tris), rigged with Autodesk CAT, I made in a couple of days with 2048×2048 texture maps and rendered with Nvidia Mental Ray.

You can see the 3D model in Sketchfab

EXILED – First Screenshots

The last week was one of the happiest (and busiest) in my life, and I’d like to share it through my work. As you know I’m one of the co-founders of Knitted Pixels, the indie game studio behind Defenders of the Last Colony (PC /Xbox 360) and also Lead Environment Artist, we’re working really hard to make a stunning second game, it’s gonna be legendary for sure, EXILED it’s already announce and the last week we upload a few images to give you a very welcome to his magic world.

We’ve been published at structure gaming:

March of War

Hi there! I’m going to show one of the projects that I’ve been working for the last months as environment artist. This time for ISOTX, creators of the Iron Grip strategy series.

Beretta 92FS

Hi there!

Celebrating my first month as 3D art teacher I’m gonna post the first model of my Master class at Tooning 3D art school, this time it will be a Beretta 92FS gun, it’s been a really great practice for my students so far I’ve seen great potential in them.

I made this gun in 3DsMax (1500 tris), textures in Photoshop (2048×2048) and rendered with my brand new license of Marmoset Toolbag.

M1A1 Abrams tank

Hello!

Finally! I finished my M1A1 Abrams tank model, it’s been a hell of a work but it’s completely worthy, If I normaly enjoy my work this time was epic fun.

About the work, here’s a couple of renders from 3DsMax, 2048×2048 textures and It’s rigged. I’m gonna try sell it for Unity Engine at the Unity Asset Store.

I hope you like it!

Thorian

I want to continue with my study of the Art of Mass Effect Universe  art-book.

This time I wanted to make something different, something… alive!

So I had to make a “Thorian”, it’s  an egg hanging on the wall waiting for you to make contact to release an alien to attack you, It’s kind of creepy, huh? But still good Sci-Fi concept.

I made it in a few days in 3DsMax and Photoshop for the 2048×2048 textures.

Cheers!!

First Aid Station

Hi there!

A week ago I bought “The art of Mass Effect Universe” and I’m totally stunned with this art book, a “must-have” for an artist. I decided to make some props of the game based on the concept art of the book and I just finished the first one!

The first aid station it’s (obviously) a prop to cure yourself in the game, I made it in 3DsMax, textured in Photoshop and rendered in UDK,  370 polys in his low-poly version.

I hope you like it!

Cheers!
