Chest (Master Class)

I’ve been very busy lately (as always) but I think it’s time to make a post.

This is my final modelling class with my students, I decided to make a Master Class called “Creating assets for video-games”, I started out  by blocking the figure to a nice volume/space for Unity 3D, later on I sculpted the main parts of the chest in Zbrush such as the wooden planks or the skull and finally baking the high-poly version to the low-poly model I made in 3DsMax. Final textures made in Photoshop (1024×1024), rendered in Mental Ray and turntable in Marmoset Toolbag.

Killzone 2 – Gas Tank

Hi there!

I finished the killzone 2 prop, It’s some kind of gas tank on a metal platform, It’s based on a concept from Leading Light for PS3 game Killzone 2, I enjoyed a lot the texturing with all the scratches and the rusty look of the metals.

As one of my mentors said “It’s always cool to make rusty things in video-games”.

It has 6400 tris and I used a single 2048×2048 texture map, all rendered in UDK.

Wolfenstein Pflegeheim – UDK game environment

Hey there!
This is my latest work with UDK, it’s based on a concept from Wolfenstein  of Cesar Rizo and it’s supposed to be a nursery house inside the castle, I used a unique 2048×2048 texture and I modeled it in 3DsMax and textured in Photoshop, It took me a couple of weeks and I’m really proud of the result but any critic and comment is very welcome.

Industrial Scene – UDK game environment

Hello there,

This is my first work with the modular building technique aplied into an industrial scene, I modeled the building parts and props in 3DsMax, textured with Photoshop and rendered in UDK.

I used one unique texture sheet (2048×2048) for the entire scene.

Environmental Art tests (Black Rock and Splash Damage)

Hi up!

This post is very special for me ’cause I really started to think (and believe) about becoming an environmental artist for video-games with this couple of projects.

This is an environmental art test I found on internet, I think it’s from Black Rock but I’m not sure, made in 3dsMax, painted the texture in photoshop and rendered in UDK.
